This site is a virtual trail of documentation for the short lived art titled, "CHALKING" by Lee Aulson. The statement, "I AM CHALKING MY WAY THROUGH THIS" was repeatedly written onto pavement using dampened chalk. Each letter was individually stenciled around the parameter of the Massachusetts College of Art + Design outdoor courtyard. The courtyard is roughly the size of a high school football field. Within the span of thirty-eight hours, the labor endured process took twenty-one hours and seventeen minutes. The finished physical art lasted one day before rain had washed away the chalk. More photographs & future "Chalking" project coming in Spring 2010.
